Some time ago I bought the Disk Drill’s paid version, to recover the files of a friend whose hard disk was damaged. If I had given it to a specialized data recovery company, it would have cost five times as much. This is my sincere testimony!
I was desperately looking out how to retrieve the missing files from a corrupted SD card; I tried everything I knew and different software and was not convinced by any until I gave it a try to disk drill free version; it worked perfectly, and all my files were there! thus, I decided to buy it to recover the 32GB, and I do not regret it. As experienced in the free version, everything was straightforward; the user interface is amazing, predictable, and easy to use; you can organize where your files will be on your computer with a few clicks, the process takes a couple of minutes, but everything runs smoothly.
*A thing to pay attention to and worth noticing is that when you buy it, the purchase run through paddle (you may not see the words disk drill or anything like it on the payment bill), so don't panic if you see paddle.net on your bill after the purchase.
I downloaded the free version to recover deleted files on a USB stick and it worked perfectly.
Back story: my Tesla was broken into and my phone was stolen and used the payments. There was no Tesla sentry notification because they Bluetooth boosted my door/lock (yes, phone was in the car). So, I had to comb through the minute-by-minute video to piece together the video images from the 4 cameras and Disk Drill was able to find and recover all video of the incident and the police now have that data. Case is not closed but Disk Drill is critical to solving this crime!
Genuinely just a massive thank you to the devs of Disk Drill (@Cleverfiles). Saved YEARS of footage from being lost forever on a dead drive. 10/10 tool
I used disk drill for windows, it recovered all my files on my SD card. I accidentally deleted all my videos from my SD card and a quick trip to Google led me to disk drill and had all my files were restored for free. THANK YOU.
Update: I manage to get most of it back from sectors that weren’t overridden thanks to Disk Drill! Trust still hurt tho.
thank god for the humans that make this utility… nearly lost 128GB worth of footage from my GoPro 🥴
This morning I installed the beta version of Disk Drill and tried the Recover option. The Recover option did the job and restored the selected files.
This product is SO much better than the one I had before! Great user interface. And it allows me to choose the disk to scan rather than trying to scan every attached device before even presenting the user with options (the other product scans everything first, or simply hangs and appears to be scanning…. for days). Disk Drill scan is very quick compared to the other product. Love having the status bar during the scan! Great error logs to try and find the issue. Ability to use Windows explorer to work with the data to be recovered. Etc. It is simply a superb utility for recovering data!
I messed up saving my university literature review and overwrote my work and lost a large amount of my work. I was crying and distraught. Already under severe stress this was breaking point for me. Thanks to Google I found disk drill and I don't know what I would have done without it. Within 3 mins I had my work back (which I saved in a ridiculous amount of places to prevent reoccurrence). I cannot thank you enough and will recommend you to everyone.
I came back home drunk and looked at the pictures me and my friend had taken from our night out and accidentally deleted them all off of my SD card before I had a chance to put them on my PC. I downloaded and handful of different file recovery software in a panic, only to find I had to pay an extortionate subscription fee to these products to get those snaps back. Luckily I came across Disk Drill and got back all of those pictures for free and quickly. I never usually write reviews but I am so grateful that this product is accessible when all the others seem to want to rip you off. Thank you!!
