I had recently upgraded my ancient Mac Mini to a MacBook Pro and moved my internal 2 TB drive to an external case. Apparently not the best case I might have purchased.
Disk Drill Pro to the rescue! I launched it, showed it the problem, and left it alone for 30 hours. Grand result: My drive is back, functioning perfectly, and not a byte of data was lost! A new enclosure, and a USB 3 router are on the way.

A relative had a DVR where they transferred some old video tapes to digital
Unfortunately the disc got formatted and they lost irreplaceable videos of family that aren’t with us any longer. I tried many different tools and yours was the only one that recovered nearly all the videos.
