I got this a couple years ago… I’d had some files for most of my life, deleted them on purpose but needed them back. I definitely thought I would never see them again. Got them back (and more!), no problem.
A couple years later I lost track of my receipt and reached out to the company. They knew who I was, what I bought and made sure I was up to date. Amazing service!
I screwed up importing pictures from a once in a lifetime family vacation, and Disk Drill saved my life. It took me a little time to figure out I had to use an SD card reader instead of just plugging in my camera, but after that hurdle the process was easy and I recovered all my deleted issues that I had thought were gone forever!

I was moving files from an exFAT Sandisk flash drive to an external HDD when Finder froze, ejected the flash drive, and somehow lost all the files mid-transfer. I purchased Disk Warrior, only to find out that it doesn’t support exFAT.
I came across Disk Drill and figured I’d give it a try. The free trial was great. I was able to inspect the drive, create a backup disk image (to prevent further corruption on the physical flash drive), and analyze the recoverable files. I was nervous at first, but when I located two albums’ worth of recording sessions on the disk, a weight was lifted. The only thing left to do was purchase a license and recover the data.
Purchasing was easy, and there were even some excellent discount options available. The team was very helpful and responsive. My files were successfully recovered, and now I’m considering purchasing a RAID-configured NAS for a safe and secure on-prem backup, as well as using something like rsync to sync that to a cloud provider like Amazon S3 or Google Storage.
Disk Drill is well-made, easy to use, and will be my go-to the next time I need to recover files — hopefully never. I highly recommend it.

Disk Drill offers numerous functions, among which my favorite is its capability to recover permanently deleted photos from iPhone. It has proven incredibly helpful, especially when I accidentally delete the wrong photo, such as a screenshot.

I’ve tried a few MacOs recovery programs. This one is by-far the best available anywhere! I am a pro photographer and we all make mistakes, like formatting a disk in camera and then realizing you didn’t download the files late last night when you got home. No other software that I am aware of will recover files written by a camera to an SSD card. Disk Drill DOES! Without failure. It’s accurate, quick, and absolutely will save you headaches or having to tell a client you lost their files… A must have piece of software!
