As you may already know, Disk Drill is an advanced data recovery solution with the ability to recovery almost any file format from any mountable media on Mac OS. Rather frequently, however, we receive questions from our users on whether Disk Drill can recover a deleted folder with its structure.
In general you have the two options when recovering deleted data on Mac:
- Undelete data from a protected media beforehand with Recovery Vault or/and Guaranteed Recovery
- Recover data from unprotected disks using Quick Scan or Deep Scan
The first method not only allows you to recover files but also to restore folders with their full structure and properties.
The second option makes it possible to recover folders using Quick Scan only in case you have deleted them just recently.
So, to recover a folder with its structure and content you may execute Undelete procedure on a protected media or apply a Quick Scan feature. Besides, you can always recover the folder’s content using Deep Scan that is the most precise data recovery technique with the ability to recover files even from formatted disks.
